Current Research Projects
Efficiency of green infrastructure
We have been studying the efficiency of stormwater wetlands, as well as greenhouse gas fluxes from green roofs and other green infrastructure in and around Cincinnati, OH. |
Invasive species and their ecosystems
Our years of research on invasive honeysuckle and other species have taken us to the current role or advisor to many local organizations. We enjoy working with community partners to develop monitoring and data collection plans on efforts happening around the tri-state. We are finishing up studying garlic mustard and its relationship with soil. |
Ecosystem restoration and mitigation
With our roots in wetland restoration we are expanding research questions to the process of wetland mitigation policy. In addition, we have come onto dry land to investigate volunteer reforestation efforts with Reforest Northern Kentucky and currently have an intense focus on creation, restoration, and monitoring of pollinator habitat and milkweed. |
